Coldplay Concert Review: The Disadvantages of Autofellatio

VENICE BEACH, CA – Coldplay’s performance at Venice Beach Stadium last Saturday attracted record crowds at the venue. The naughties rock sensation is back, unleashing the sound of their latest album, Moon Music.

This reporter kept low expectations, given the maturity of the band, but the ephemeral pop-rock group certainly delivered. With a stunning setlist encompassing decades of their greatest hits, fans of older material left in high spirits. With the band’s sound hitting every vibe, the only obvious challenge for concert-goers was visibility: it was impossible to see the lead singer despite being at the front of the stage.

For several years now, frontman Chris Martin has been unable to deter from fellating himself on stage. Fans were initially surprised at recent events, but have grown accustomed to the singer’s antics. Some are sympathetic to his assumed medical condition, and others are praying for his treatment and salvation in the afterlife.

“I would definitely see them again, but I have to admit it’s hard to hear what he’s singing,” said Elena Swift (37), Denver resident. However, opinion is split amongst true fans, as Boulder resident Jennifer Melt (38) stated after the show, “For real, I thought that’s how he got his unique sound.”

Overall, despite their latest release and on-stage performance, Coldplay remain a staple of pop music. While Martin may no longer be able to get-off on his concert goers alone, at least he stays true to himself.
